The first two paragraphs of your story make me want to keep reading :-)

I recently read a book called "How I made $42,000 in one month selling my Kindle e-books" by Cheryl Kaye Tardif. It was a real eye opener for me and changed my way of thinking.

I always considered the traditional route and agent, publisher, hard copy etc was the way to go and thus the only way to prove myself as a writer.

A week ago I published my first novel via Kindle Direct Publishing - it's out there and it's being read - that makes me a writer, not a publishing contract.

I have since read several examples of writers being discovered and offered publishing contracts based on their Kindle e-books.

I am now doing whatever it takes to get my work out there and to enable me to learn and grow from the experience. Is my first book perfect - maybe not, but heck it's better than some of the traditional published rubbish I've read.

Just saying it might be an option to consider :-)
